Our Engineering Machinery

Ashgarth Engineering are proud to own many incredible machines, all allowing our team to complete projects to perfection. Our machines don’t all just have one purpose, we have a range of different kinds of machines, all ready to use when their specific use is required.

But what exactly are these powerful machines capable of?

The first type of machine is CNC Milling. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, meaning these machines use code to understand where and how to make necessary cuts. The material is kept still while the machine moves to make precise cuts and indents. Using our engineer’s expertise, this machine is designed to cut into a material until it is the desired shape.

Secondly is CNC Turning. While similar to CNC Milling, these machines instead spin the material rather than keep it still. This allows very quick carving of the material to reduce it’s size or mould it into the desired shape. Turning and Milling machines often work hand in hand here at Ashgarth Engineering to make sure all required edits to the material are met.

Next are Quality machines, or CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines). These machines, such as our QUANTUM 4-8105 CNC CMM are designed to closely inspect and measure parts so our engineers know what to do next. Machines as precise as this completely minimise any chance of error.

Finally, the Sliding Head Lathes. These machines work like our CNC Turning Machines, holding the material and moving it while making amends. These machines usually hold the part and move it along the z-axis, while the tool remains still.

At Ashgarth Engineering we are more than prepared to handle your engineering projects across the North East and beyond.
